I know you are surprised by this topic since your expectation is HR topic, but Club of lecture is something I enjoy sharing with because beauty of life doesn’t limit to working with purpose or family or kids (fill in whatever you consider),but its also about creativity. First club of lecture is focused on Husband’s secret by Liane Moriarty.
Liane Moriarty is an Australian author. She has written ten novels, including the New York Times best sellers Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers, and Apples Never Fall.
Even if the author is well known, I have to admit that I have read first time about on Raluca’s blog – E un mic secret. Husband’s secret gathers 3 families, each of it being caught with its own struggles – infidelity, coping with own daughter death and living a family life with 3 children from a mom’s perspective.
You dont realise that there is a relationship between all of these families for a long part of the story, but you are more and more curious to discover the secret of a letter. A letter which should have been opened up at Cecilia’s husband death. Is it about a dark secret? Will this letter change the lives forever?
Then the truth about each family begins to unfold and you find out from a psychological point of view what it feels like to be oversized and rejected by people, how it feels to be cheated by partner with your best friend and at the same time business associate. You feel so deeply the power of injustice when a mother cries for her teenager’s death, provided as a brutal crime, never solved and live the intensity of being curious, of being scared that a man who you thought you had known for years was actually an impostor.
This is the biggest strength of Moriarty’s book, she spots characters’ emotions like they were sitting down beside you and talking about themselves and how they feel.
I will not tell you how everything compiles because the joy of reading should belong to you, but the end of story is magic and would sound like – a truth is never a full truth, you may not never know why happened some things în your life and if happened some what you avoided.
